Incorporated in 1993, YONG HENG ENGINEERING WORKS SDN. BHD. (formerly known Yong Heng Engineering Works), is a Malaysia-based specialist manufacturer of thermoforming molds and die-set stamping molds.
With over 30 years of experience in the mold fabrication, Yong Heng is recognised as a leader in this industry, for our precision engineering, manufacturing reliability and consistent quality delivery.
We specialise in designing and developing high-precision molds for complex, high-tech products and demanding production environments. Our thermoforming molds serve a wide range of industries, including semiconductor, food and beverage, automotive, aerospace, thick-gauge manufacturing, and medical technology.
To maintain our competitive edge, Yong Heng continuously invests in advanced CNC machinery, modern manufacturing technologies, and disciplined quality control systems. OUR LEADERS
MR. CHUA BOON HUAT
Mr Chua Boon Huat, the founder of YONG HENG, was born in Muar, Johor. He was a mechanical technician skilled in hand-carving models. Through a mutual friend, Mr Chua met a packaging factory owner from Taiwan who greatly appreciated his exquisite craftsmanship, leading to a collaboration in making molds.
In the early 1990s, Malaysia’s mould-making industry was still in a lull, and most of the packaging industry relied on imported moulds for production and sales. Mr Chua’s molds received stable orders and increasing demand, including more complex electronic tray molds.
In 1993, Mr Chua founded Malaysia’s first formal mold-making factory, Yong Heng Engineering Works. He upgraded from handcrafted to mechanised mold production, invested in machine equipment and drawing design software, and aspired to promote Malaysia’s mold-making industry with his artisanal spirit.
MR. MARCUS CHUA
Influenced by his father’s leadership and craftsmanship, Mr. Marcus Chua entered the industry at a young age and developed a deep understanding of mold manufacturing and market dynamics.
Recognising the need for continuous progress in an increasingly competitive environment, Marcus leads Yong Heng with a forward-looking mindset—driving technological advancement, process optimisation, and team development.
Under his leadership, Yong Heng continues to strengthen his capabilities to meet higher precision requirements and evolving customer needs across industries.
