Heavy gauge mold & cutting jig
Thicker sheet and larger parts. The tool stays flat and the jig puts the cut in the same place every time.

3D punch & die stamping mold
Where the trim line is not flat. Ground to the formed geometry so the cut edge stays clean across the field.
The cooling is drawn with the cavity, not after it.
Cycle time is decided long before the machine runs. Ports, manifold and circuit are laid out together with the cavity field so the part sets evenly and releases cleanly.
